
Carson City Sheriff’s Office investigators made two criminal warrant arrests Wednesday of a Carson City man and a South Lake Tahoe man in different and separate alleged sex crime cases each involving children, sheriff's office detectives said.
Bruno Santo, 32, of Carson City was extradited to Carson City from jail in Nevada County, Calif., on a felony charge, suspicion of sexual assault with a child under 14 years of age. His bail has been set at $250,000.
In the other arrest, a South Lake Tahoe man is in custody on three felony sex crime charges. Brian Andrew Best, 31, has been charged with suspicion of sexual assault with a child under the age of 14, and two counts lewdness with a minor under 14 years of age.
He was booked into Carson City Jail after being extradited from the El Dorado County Jail in South Lake Tahoe. Bail: $100,000.
In other arrests:
— A 30-year-old Carson City man, Matthew Aymami, was arrested Thursday, in the area of South Carson and Rhoads streets on a felony warrant charge of being an ex-felon in possession with a firearm. Bail: $25,000.
— A 28-year-old Reno man, Joshua Hayes, was booked into Carson City jail Thursday on felony warrants for burglary and grand larceny. The warrants were issued July 5, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $25,000.
— A 20-year-old Carson City man, Michael Joseph Kudlacek, was booked into Carson City jail Tuesday, July 5 on a felony warrant alleging burglary. Bail: $15,000.
— A 31-year-old Carson City man, Isai Ramirez was arrested Tuesday in the 300 block of south Carson Meadows on a felony state probation violation charge, a felony, causing an accident involving an unoccupied vehicle, and misdemeanor suspicion of DUI drugs. He was being held without bail in lieu of court hearings for probation violation.
— A 51-year-old transient, Elliot Hale Starke, was arrested Wednesday in the 4000 block of North Carson Street on a felony suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender. According to the arrest report, the man was making verbal threats to staff members of a Carson City lodging establishment on Hospitality Way.
Officers located the man inside a fast food restaurant where he denied making threats. Deputies did a criminal check and learned he was a convinced sex offender out of Florida and had not registered in Carson City. He was asked how long he lived in Carson City. The man stated a year. Bail: $5,000.
— A 42-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 8:03 p.m. at Walmart in the 3200 block of Market Street on suspicion of petit larceny and violation of a suspended sentence. According to the arrest report, the woman had allegedly attempted to steal $40.80 in merchandise from the store.
The woman was on Alternative Sentencing for a previous larceny case. She agreed to submit to a breath test with a result of .155. Bail: $1,352.
