Carson City Ward 2 Supervisor Brad Bonkowski will hold monthly “Breakfast with Brad” meetings with local residents on the first Friday of each month at the Cracker Box restaurant. The first breakfast will be this Friday, June 7, 7:30 a.m.
Any Carson City resident is invited to sit down with Bonkowski and enjoy a cup of coffee and talk about the issues they feel are most important. Bonkowski says it’s important for him to hear directly from his constituents.
“"The idea for the First Friday Breakfasts is to give all Carson City citizens a chance to share their opinions with me, a chance to ask questions, and a chance for me to give them updates on current topics. Many people email or call me, but for some, an opportunity for a personal interaction is easier and more effective.”
Bonkowski adds that he loves eating breakfast and the opportunity to do so and hear from residents at the same time is a win-win.
Cracker Box is located at 402 E. William Street in Carson City. The breakfasts will continue on the first Friday of each month, beginning at 7:30 a.m. with the exception of July 5.
Bonkowski will buy coffee for anyone who stops by; no one needs to purchase any food to take part.
